Founded in 2010, Wipe Tears Africa (WTA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to restoring hope and transforming the lives of vulnerable children and families in Uganda. Our organization was established in response to widespread poverty, illiteracy, and health challenges—including the impact of HIV/AIDS—that have affected many communities.
Our mission is to empower families of underprivileged children through education, healthcare support, and economic development programs, equipping them with the tools and opportunities to build a better future. Guided by Christian values and a strong commitment to child rights advocacy, we strive to wipe away tears and bring hope, dignity, and opportunity to African children.
Wipe Tears Africa is legally registered with the Government of Uganda (Reg. No: 80020000833456) and also incorporated in the United States with a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status (EIN: 334404025). We operate with a clear vision to restore hope in the hearts and lives of African children. Through our core values of compassion, empowerment, and integrity, we aim to create a society where every child has access to equal opportunities and a chance to thrive.
To empower families of poor and vulnerable children by providing care and support in education, health, and economic development, enabling them to become productive members of society.
To restore hope in the hearts and lives of African children, creating a nurturing environment for every child to thrive.
